Quartz minerals that naturally formed double point termination are often known as “Herkimer Diamonds.” Nice samples were originally found in Herkimer County, New York but have subsequently been identified in other areas of the world. Quartz is characterized with white to colorless streak, glassy luster and moderate to high hardness.
An information card with details on the mineral formation, characteristics, and uses is included. Typical samples sizes are generally 0.25 to 0.5 inch in length or width but can vary based on availability and natural crystal shape.
