Stromatolites - Conophyton
Conophyton stromatolites are a fossil plant that grows in the form of a cone. Stromatolites form as layers of blue-green algae forming colonies that trap sediment form from limestone rock. The layered rock has living algae on the top. Stromatlites form very slowly. A five-centimeter growth may up as long as 100 years to accumulate. Precambrian age samples.
