Conophyton stromatolites are a fossil plant that grows in the form of a cone. Stromatolites form as layers of blue-green algae forming colonies that trap sediment form from limestone rock. The layered rock has living algae on the top. Stromatlites form very slowly. A five-centimeter growth may up as long as 100 years to accumulate. Precambrian age samples.

An information card with details on the rock formation, mineral content, characteristics, and uses is included. Typical samples sizes are generally 0.5 to 2.0 inches in length or width but can vary based on availability and natural fossil shape.
