Kyanite Mineral. Blue mineral with long blade-like crystals. Hardness varies depending on direct across blades. 4 to 5 on Mohs hardness scale along the blades and 6 to 7 hardness across the blades. White streak. Glassy to pearly luster. Kyanite is commonly found in schist and gneiss rocks. Each mineral sample is approximately 1-2 inches in length and width.
