Our junior sedimentary rock collection is great for kids,
students and home school families who are studying wind, river and ocean rock
processes and the geologic cycle. Each collection comes with a sample of arkose,
bituminous coal, conglomerate, coquina, loess, fine-grained limestone, banded
sandstone, shale, siltstone, and oolitic limestone. An identification sheet is also included
which gives introductory information on the color, formation method, major and
minor minerals, texture, uses, locales and unique features of the rock along
with a sample photo. Best for ages 6 to adult.
