Our junior metamorphic rock collection is great for kids,
students and home school families who are studying rock processes and the
geologic cycle. Each collection comes with a sample of amphibolite, gneiss,
hornfels, pink marble, phyllite, quartzite, schist, slate, garnet schist, and
anthracite coal. An identification sheet
is also included which gives introductory information on the color, original
rock type, major and minor minerals, texture, uses, locales and unique features
of the rock along with a sample photo. Best for ages 6 to adult.
