Make an Egg Carton Rock Collection with School Edition Kits

Looking for a fun project for your students? Try making an Egg Carton Rock Collection using Mini Me Geology’s My Rockin’ Collections and your student’s imagination.

You will need:

 Any My Rockin’ Collection! School Edition rock or mineral kit
 Egg carton for each student
 Paint
 Stickers
 Beads
 Any other decoration for cartons

Have your students each bring in an egg carton and decorate the cartons as an art project. Students can then use their cartons to store their School Edition My Rockin’ Collections of rocks and minerals.
Since each School Edition kit comes with 10 samples, students will have a few open slots to add their own samples.

Encourage students to take a nature walk with their parents and find a few samples for their collection. Remember that not all rocks and minerals can be found in all areas so encourage them to find what they can and identify the names of the rocks and the minerals in them.
