School Sedimentary Rock Collection - Set of 5

Our sedimentary rock collections are great for elementary students who are studying wind, river and ocean rock processes and the geologic cycle. Each collection comes with a sample of arkose, bituminous coal, conglomerate, coquina, loess, fine-grained limestone, banded sandstone, shale, siltstone, and oolitic limestone. A set of identification cards is also includes which gives introductory information on the color, formation method, major and minor minerals, texture, uses, locales and unique features of the rock along with a sample photo. The rocks can be stored in their sturdy vinyl zip bag or have the kids decorate egg cartons to make a unique and personalized storage box. Also sold in sets of 15. Hand magnifiers are sold separately and are great for use in rock identification.
